Traveling on to wrangle Cowboys in the Big D!

Friday, out from Mother Neff's rainfall, we traveled back to Waco and went to Mardel's. It is a huge Christian Bookstore and Education Supply store we heard about from a missionary in Mexico. It was fun and Mr. Bob continued our passion of leaving messages wherever we find displayed letters. Our message in the competition's domain seems to always be this one. I even offered a challenge to Twitter to encourage others to do the same and send messages tagged #Ramvasion. Jim Everett, a former Rams QB joined in the fun and I was thrilled.

The Admiral directed us well and by evening, we found ourselves in Arlington, Texas, at the Wallmart across from the stadium for the night. We checked out all the lots that we could park and they were very expensive. We thought we could stay for the duration and the game, too. Walking distance even.

That night they started putting up signs that the Walmart did not allow people to park during the game, but would tow vehicles that were left in the parking lot over two hours during the game. We stayed there Friday night but had to come up with another plan for Saturday night.

We did do some shopping for odds and ends but decided tomorrow we would find an alternative stopping place.

Early in the morning Saturday, Bob went out on a walkabout to the stadium and asked for a peek inside. A kind attendant escorted him and the Admiral in for a peek since Admirals could be considered bludgeoning weapons during a game situation and he would not be allowed to enter the game on Sunday.  They were both in awe of the immensity inside the stadium. Outside they had their picture taken with Tom Landry, the man, the myth, the legend. He and the Admiral had a great conversation which Bob could not understand because he does not speak Statue. Statue is a language few mortals understand, but it has a solid pattern of syntax and stiff sense of irony.

Later Admiral had a great walk across the letters of the AT&T Stadium sign. We could not rearrange those letters to say "Go Rams" though. Later in the day after walkthrough, we heard from Johnny that we could go have lunch with him at a restaurant by his hotel. We were excited about the opportunity and went to meet him at the 'RANCH'

It is always so fun to see him. He is quite the character. We found out our waiter was also. We wanted some fresh ground pepper for our salads and this is what he brought out. It was huge, but things ARE bigger in Texas. The waiter was a crack-up. We had a good lunch and made plans on how to get the family passes for tomorrow and got our tickets. When we got back to Wallmart we decided rather than risk things there we would find somewhere else, Bob wanted to take Admiral to see the Texan's Baseball Stadium which was also right behind us in another direction. They were playing that night.

Bob and the Admiral had some fun taking a look at another sports venue while I took a nap. Oh and cleaned up the RV.

When they got back we headed out to find a level, acceptable spot to park for the night. We thought that a church would be a good idea, drove by and then thought church parking lots are busy on Sunday and they might need the space. Bob found a great open parking lot that might work but it was in a cemetery right next to the Mausoleum and 10 hurses.  He thought "Well, no one will bother us here!" I, however, was not going for it.

Well, who is closed Saturday and Sunday and they don't have high volatility of risk that someone would steal things from there? Aaaah, a Dentist. Strict hours, no carryover cash flow, the possibility of stealing teeth cleaning instruments is not high so they would not be under high surveillance. Bingo!

We parked at a dentists office and installed Uber so that we could Uber to the game the next morning early and get set with my transportation and everything. I slept well and Bob slept in the RV captains chair with the Admiral. I guess he was on the 'lookout' for who I don't know. Maybe he thought the dead were easier to handle. I thought, "People visit relative's graves on Sundays" Los Angeles Rams RV would be a bit out of place there.

I was happy with the dentist's office placement. It was in the open so it would be under the watch of the public during the day while we attended the game. It worked out perfectly!
